Living Large

The article “Whale Watching” in Details magazine talks about how the culture of watching obese people has changed. Back in the day people would scowl at large people and was a hard subject to talk about. Now culture of large people has completely changed. We are surrounded by what Details calls fattertainment. Which is basically the obsession of fat people in entertainment. Think of how many lose weight reality shows there are. The shows even have prime time slots on big broadcast stations. America now loves to stare at obese people. Maybe we have people like Chris Farley to thank, but the way we look at large people has changed in America.
